Learn More about ISLAM (Submission): Much of the content on this site is from reputable sources about ISLAM, but there might be some sources that convey non-authentic information (by mistake or ignorance...), because we can't go through all their contents.

And the journey of seeking Islamic knowledge and believing in it (becoming a Muslim), applying it, and associating with the true believers who hold on to the Qur'an and follow the SUNNAH (way of our messenger Muhammad PBUH as authentically reported and practiced by his Righteous Companions and Family), and staying away from hypocrites and deviant sects, and most importantly asking GOD sincerely and continuously to guide you to the right path, this journey lasts until the time of returning back to Allah (God) after our death.

Quran: Fasting: O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous - Surat Al-Baqarah 2:183

Quran: Fasting: [Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] – then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] – a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess – it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew. Surat Al-Baqarah 2:184

Quran: Fasting: The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. Surat Al-Baqarah 2:185 www.hadithoftheday.com.

Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "Read the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection."

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah is pleased with His slave who says: 'Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah)' when he takes a morsel of food and says: 'Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah)' when he drinks a draught of water."

Jabir bin 'Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying three days before his death: "Let none of you die unless he has good expectations from Allah". Narrated by Muslim.

(close translation) Anas reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "The greatness of the reward is with the greatness of the affliction. Allah the Most High, when He loves a people, he afflicts them, whoever is satisfied will have satisfaction (of Allah), and whoever is not satisfied, will have dissatisfaction (of Allah)."
